    Jacketed and Dimple Jacket Tank

    Jacketed Tank

Depending on the contents, a thermos might keep it hot or cold. In the same way, a jacketed tank is designed to keep the contents hot or cold through its “jacket” enclosure. Jacketed tanks have many design variations to accommodate a wide range of industries and applications.
Stainless Tank and Mix fabricate vessels with a secondary container/jacket outside of the shell, to either provide heating or cooling to the vessel contents.

    Dimple Jacketed Tank

A dimple jacket is a machine formed sheet material that is welded to a second piece of material after forming, such as a tank heads or shells. Dimple jackets are also a versatile heat transfer surface primarily used for temperature and pressure extremes on the outside of tank heads and shells. Jacketed vessels are used in many industries. Heat exchange surfaces can be designed either for heating or cooling. They can be used to remove the elevated heat of reaction (heat reactor vessel) or reduce the viscosity of high viscous fluids.

As engineers and consultants, we recognize that dimple jacket design is essential in ensuring process efficiency, efficient heat transfer and cost-effectiveness. With the right expertise and well-designed plates, businesses can streamline operations, maximize thermal exchange across different media and reduce energy consumption drastically.
